Richard Staley is Reader in History and Philosophy of Science (Professor from 1 October), and co-Principal Investigator of the Histories of AI Mellon Sawyer Seminar. He pursues a long term project in the histories of physics, mechanics and anthropology, is author of Einstein’s Generation; The Origins of the Relativity Revolution (2008) and Principal Investigator of the Leverhulme Trust funded collaborative research project ‘Making Climate History’.
